7/10/2010 Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter 銅鑼灣避風塘

What a wonderful sunshine today! We go to Causeway Bay for a walk. It is a fantastic place for shopping and admiring those good architectures in Hong Kong. Besides, there is a typhoon shelter in Causeway Bay. You can see many luxury yachts over there.

Not only can see the luxury yachts but also the brilliant Victoria Harbour view.

Also, we take a boat to experience the Victouria Harbour.

If it is National Day or Chinese New Year holiday, I sugguest you can take a boat to the dam of the typhoon shelter at night and watch the beautiful fireworks. It is such a wonderful experience!

Also, The Noonday Gun is a former naval gun mounted on a small enclosed site near the Typhoon Shelter. A gun has been mounted in this area since the 1860s. The original location was at East Point, which has long since disappeared due to land reclamation projects on the north side of the island.

Feeling:
It is a great place for people to relax. we can watch the harbour view and feeling the wind from the Harbour. The most impressive experience is taking a boat go outside the Typhoon Shelter. It is very exciting! Also, we take the boat at night to the dam and watching the fireworks. It is a shake for us to watch it personally.  The most improtant thing to watch there is not so crowd as Tsim Sha Tsui.

How to go there?

Tips:
You can negotiate the price for taking the boat to dam or just go for a round trip inside the Typhoon Shelter. For my advice, $10 per person eider go to dam or a round trip is an average price.
